Donations-Everest Base Camp Trek

So like all crazy adventures, I too will be raising money for a few charities that are close to my heart.  Please check out the following links and if you can, spare a few pennies to raise money for whichever charity plucks most at your heart strings.

1) Saphara

Children’s Education and Adolescent Sexual Health

Saphara is a Non-Profit Organisation set up by a wonderful school teacher of mine, Christine Burnett.  The focus of this NGO is on educating disadvantaged children and bringing together school children across Northern Ireland to teach in the beautiful foothills of the Himalayas.  What better place to spark cross community relations than these epic landscapes?

Donate at: http://www.charitygiving.co.uk/nathashabasheer

I myself will be spending 2-3 weeks as a volunteer straight after my Everest trek and will be more than happy to let you know how exactly your money is being put to good use.

We are pioneering a project on Adolescent Sexual Health, particularly focussing on young women and girls.

The minimum target of £500 will provide education for 1000 children. ONE THOUSAND. How many people were in your year at school? Exactly.

Please donate for Saphara at:

2) Make-A-Wish Foundation

Granting wishes to terminally ill children

Donate at: http://www.justgiving.com/Nathasha-Basheer

This particular charity I hold close to my professional heart.

Make-A-Wish Foundation operates worldwide to grant magical wishes to children and young people fighting life threatening conditions.

‘Nuf said.

Check out their website and some of the wishes to be granted this year:
