Paramedics ROCK!

Less than two weeks to go!!  And the excitement is definitely mounting. This weekend was immensely cool.  Not least the speedboat experience on Loch Lomond (see title picture) but also a little pre-hospital top up with the Scottish Ambulance Service!

It is 6 minutes past midnight

It is 6 minutes past midnight on Thursday 1st September 2016. In just over month, I will be making my way back to Nepal.  Oh.  My.  God. Today I received the most humbling message I think I have ever received.

‘Our team were invited to have a meal of traditional dal bhat…’

It’s amazing how one little sentence can spark an array of memories, twisting and weaving and exploding I would say all over my mind. Dal bhat, the traditional Nepalese post trek chow.  Simple, not particularly elegant, but damn good grub.

First snow

January 16th, and we’ve finally had our first snow. Mostly we should all rejoice that winter is here and global warming hasn’t completely taken over.  Except I can’t help curl up inside at the thought of having to go out
